I'm about 20 hours in myself, and the performance still matches my first post here. With quality mode it looks native res, I couldn't disagree more. DLSS quality mode is not blurry, wtfĮarly DLSS, which includes DLSS 1.0 on Standard Edition, it was somewhat blurry.īut newer games like ME Enhanced Edition and Death Stranding use DLSS 2.0. dont waste your time on this ray tracing nonsense, theres lots of good reasons why nobody has used it in the 40 or so years that its been around. all for a little "better quality lighting" which honestly just looks like they use a different ambient occlusion setting. its extremely blurry, and the white/grey overlay the game has is even worse in enhanced mode. So it seems you actually now convinced me to install EE. For example Assassin's Creed Odyssey drops a little in the cities on ultra for me (tho i believe it's not my gear but rather bad port) now that sounds exactly like what you explain, nothing gamebreaking, but worth the graphics. Enjoy! I prefer frame rate to graphics in general but if the fps drop is not constant i would choose it for big difference in graphics. It's not terribly hard, but you want to manage your items and crafting. If it's your first time, if you can handle it, I would also recommend playing the difficulty up above normal. Maybe replay the EE in the future with stronger PC. I have 9700k teamed up with rtx2070 super and 16gb ram. If that still isn't good enough, then yes, I suggest the standard mode. During all of the exploration and combat gameplay, it easily stays above 60.

There's a few locations (this game's towns) where you are high up and you see the entire landscape of the map plus AI characters. I have to say that the framerate is almost always comfortably above 60. Thanks man! You got it.Ī 2070 super is pretty much a 2080. Both look terrific, but the edge definitely goes to raytracing. I'm running Enhanced Edition with an 8086k CPU with standard 2080 GPU.Īt 1080p with DLSS and everything Ultra, my fps average is 60-80 (90% of the time, even during combat). If you have the hardware for it, go Enhanced, it's really nice to look at. Prebaked lighting, raytraced reflections, DLSS for 1440p and 4k, but not 1080p. Standard edition is standard lighting that has some limited raytracing.
